Nowaczyk Appointed New Commissioner of Middle States Commission on Higher Education
Frostburg State University president, Dr. Ronald Nowaczyk, was recently appointed to serve as a new commissioner on the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). His term will continue through Dec. 31, 2029.
Donnell VanSkiver Wins 2nd Annual Washington, D.C. Admin Leadership Award
Donnell VanSkiver, Executive Administrative Assistant to Frostburg State University’s President, was announced the winner of this year’s Leadership Award at the 2023 Washington, D.C. Admin Awards. These awards are the administrative profession's highest honors.
Graham Receives President’s Distinguished Staff Award
Dr. Jeff Graham, FSU senior associate vice president for Student Affairs, was the 2023 recipient of the President’s Distinguished Staff Award, which recognizes a staff member who has provided exceptional service to the University and has helped to advance its mission, goals and priorities.
Monahan Given President’s Distinguished Faculty Award
Dr. Michael Monahan, professor and chair of Frostburg State University’s Department of Management, has been selected as the 2023 recipient of the President’s Distinguished Faculty Award.
Three Employees Receive Staff Awards for Excellence
Frostburg State University honored Rubin Stevenson, Kristie Bloskey and Anthony “Tony” Rosa with Staff Awards for Excellence, which recognize exceptional service to the institution. Recipients are nominated and chosen by their colleagues.
FSU Named Winner of 2023 Appademy Awards
Frostburg State University has been awarded the 2023 Appademy Award for Best App Redesign, an accolade representing the excellence in visual design and usability for a redesigned mobile campus app.
Two Professors Appointed to Maryland Commission on African Affairs
Two FSU professors were recently appointed to Maryland Governor Wes Moore’s Commission on African Affairs for their professional and personal ties to Africa and Maryland’s diverse African population.
